3 Health Benefits of Lavender Tea Salt Bath

You’ve probably heard that soaking in the tub can be a soothing experience. But have you ever considered adding a special ingredient to your bath? While the majority of people might like to relax in plain water or bubbles, making this small addition can actually do your body good.

Soak your cares away

Lavender tea salt baths are a great way to relax and unwind, especially when you’re feeling under the weather. You may or may not be aware that our bodies are porous and absorb anything you put on them through the largest organ in our body, the skin. So it would make sense that sitting in a tea bath would help to combat a number of conditions.

As someone who lives with Fibromyalgia, I know only too well how chronic pain, stiffness and tired muscles can be. This is one of my go-to’s to help relieve my symptoms.

Epsom Salts & Himalayan salt baths can help regulate the electrolytes in your body, ensuring the proper functioning of your muscles, nerves, and enzymes. They can also stimulate circulation, ease muscle cramps, help relieve joint stiffness, aid with arthritis or back pain, and soothe achy overworked legs and feet.

May Help Improve Sleep. Lavender has been shown to relax the body! It may also help you stay asleep if you suffer from insomnia or restlessness while sleeping.

May Offer a Natural Remedy for Pain: Lavender essential oils may reduce swelling by acting as an anti-inflammatory agent. The herb has also been found to relieve pain associated with headaches or migraines thanks to its analgesic properties.

Home Remedy:- What you will need

3 handfuls of Himalayan Salts

3 handfuls of Epsom Salts

1 – 2 compostable tea bags

Lavender

As much as I love tea baths sometimes I find they can be a little difficult to clean after, particularly if the flowers are smaller particles. My little hack for this is using compostable tea bags. Fill your compostable tea bags with lavender and add your salt to your hot bath. I would recommend having a long soak in the bath if you can soak up all the benefits.
