HOW TO MAKE OUR ISLAND SORREL AND THE HEALTH BENEFITS

This is a very versatile tisane. A traditional drink in Jamaica, usually served cold and made into a punch with rum, but can be taken as a hot drink as well. It is quite easy to see why this blend has recently won a Great Taste Award 2020 two star rating. A gloriously plum-skin coloured infusion, pleasingly aromatic – looks great. Fruity ginger notes on the nose. – hot tip turn this into a mulled wine at Christmas!

HOW TO MAKE

Each ingredient in looseleaf teas and blends take their own time to release their flavours once they are placed in boiling water. For this reason, it is always best to follow the instructions on the packaging for the temperature it should be and the length of time to be steeped.

Check out how to get the best results below!

Method

  • Use fresh water in your kettle or pot boil and boil to 100℃.
  • Place 2 tsp of Island Sorrel per person in your infuser and place in a cup or teapot.
